2026 Zone Golf Tournament Information

ALL COACHES BE MUST REGISTERED.  Our 2026 zone championships will be held at Magrath Golf Club on Sept 21st (1A/2A) and Sept 22nd (3A/4A).  Click the buttons above for tournament information.  All other details have or will be sent to Athletic Directors.  Those golfers who qualify for provincials in Edmonton will be asked if they will be attending immediately at the conclusion of the event.  Please ensure all athletes are prepared to answer this question.  Their intentions should also be included in their registration.

Athletic directors have been sent the email containing links to the registration spreadsheets.

A mandatory coaches meeting via zoom will take place on Sunday night, Sept 20th at 8pm.  A link to this meeting will be sent out to ADs and coaches.

Common Q/As

• Q - How many teams/players qualify for provs?
  A - Top 2 boys from 1A/2A and top 2 boys from the 3A/4A tournament qualify.
  A - Top 2 girls from 1A/2A and top 2 girls from the 3A/4A tournament qualify.
  A - If top individuals are part of a qualifying team, the next place individual qualifies.
  A - Top team from 1A/2A and top team from 3A/4A tournaments for both boys and girls.
  A - Any boy who shoots 76 or better and any girl who shoots 90 or better is also automatically qualified.
  A - The host school/zone gets one berth for a boys and a girls team.

• Q - Can I enter a single player or two if I don't have enough for a team?
  A - Yes!

• Q - Can a single qualify as a single if they are on a mixed team?
  A - Yes!

• Q - Can my "in house" grade 9s play?
  A - No - not any longer.

• Q - Do I need to send a cheque with my coach?
  A - No - all schools will be invoiced after the event.  No shows will be charged in full.

• Q - Do all players require a handicap?
  A- Yes.  If need be find out their average score and subtract 72.

• Q - Will all coaches/supervisors be asked to work that day?
  A -Yes.  We need an adult to follow every group along.  Please have a mobile phone with you to enter scores online for the group.  Downloading the Golf Genius app ahead of time is highly recommended.
